In celebration of my birthday and the upcoming Autumnal Equinox, I'm so excited to share —at long last — the music video for "Corn Stalks" off my new album Pink Stone.
This video is a collaboration with filmmaker Michael J Buckius. We talked about the project for months, slowly letting new ideas emerge. I wanted to tell a story that would capture some of my journey with chronic illness, as well as the important role that nature has played in helping me cope and understand these challenges. When the day came to shoot, Mike had a vision in mind, part of which was to let the land and the place guide our work. Wind, rain, a landscape shimmering on the edge of fall... so much beauty came forth here, guided into its final form by Mike's delicate hand on the camera that day, and later in the editing room.
